Mike, when you get dies try to find Lyman dies. The RCBS dies will work but they run their tolerance range a little bigger than Lyman and sometimes their largest dies won't fit in the adapter. If you do run into any problems let me know, I will make sure things work as promised for you.

I ran about 300 311440s through my old "advanced prototype" set that we worked on this concept with yesterday. The 311440 is a bullet that makes having a set of push through dies a necessity as any attempts at gas check seating and base first sizing tend to bump the nose to make it hard to chamber in my .30/30.

Today, I was developing a load and chronographing out in the cold and wind and my bullets worked flawlessly.

I hope that it works as well for you as it does for me./beagle

Mr. Keith, you need a webpage catalog of your many interesting products!
I'll be ordering some star sizers soon. :-)

I had no trouble getting the RCBS dies to fit Keith's push-through conversion after I filed off the ridges around the roll-lettering on the body. The metal is raised quite a bit there but once it's dressed-off the dies fit like a glove.

Gear...some of the RCBS sizers have about a 1/8" collar right below the dimpled area at the top of the sizer. This is just high enough so that it will not allow the sizer die to go into the adapter body. I had three like that out of about 90 something sizers. I just had my machinist turn it off and all went well. Don't know when these were produced or why they were like that but you'll encounter one once in a while./beagle

I didn't know about those, Beagle, I only have about half a dozen RCBS dies.

Now if we all could convince Keith to make the commonly used sizer dies............I'd be a happy camper!!!
