I too have attempted this with no success. Even replacement blades for front sight are virtually impossible cuz it seems any dealer/distributor with them at one time are now sold out. Could sure use help on this one, too.

I did not find replacement sights made a difference on my Security Six. Millett makes them
What I did was to put a front rib on the pistol. That helped.
I do not know where you can find the rib anymore, that was in the '70s.
I do remember, it went on very easily.

You might check this link...

I got sights there for my Blackhawk, but I don't know about the Security-Six...

Just curious as to why you want to replace the sights?...

I have a Security-Six and the original sights seemed to work O.K.

But the Blackhawk was a different story...

Good-luck...BCB

+1 here. I find the factory sights work well on mine, maybe some are different? Mine has the white outline rear and orange insert in the front.

Called Brownells, Millett no longer makes sights specifically for the Security Six. They did not know of any on the market from any source. Over on a Ruger forum I asked and several people said that the GP-100 sights will adapt easily. I have not followed up.
