I just went to pay for a set of dies on eBay and three times it directed me to a Propay site, not PayPal. Checked messages and updates and found nothing about propay since I last bought something. Is this legit or did somebody hijack eBay payment? Too early to call and check.

think it's up to the seller on what form of payment they take. PayPal is just the standard.

A quick search on ebay turned up their accepted payment methods:

Thanks, I didn't find that page. I have the computer skills of a hyperactive mouse! I had no idea there were so many ways to pay. I guess this seller only wants to accept Propay.

I recently (this week) got a message from Paypal that the had changed theor user agreement. I have not gone to see the changes but this could have something to do with it. Maybe you have to ackjnowledge the ne agreement before you can use it again.

Wayne...

Try Googling a few of the high-profile service sites like PayPal, or Car-Fax and see if the links actually lead where you're trying to go. A few months back my computer picked up an embedded 'Trojan' virus that would direct me to "close but not quite" sites even when I typed in the address manually. Still dunno how it got on-board as I've got the full AVG suite installed plus my ISP also provides additional filtering, as well.

A "redirection" is a sure sign of a virus run spybot, and windows defender both.

I think it was this seller's choice. Apparently a seller can choose the payment plan he/she wants and limit it to that. Now that I understand it's not a problem.
