I buy a lot of storage buildings at auction and run across a bit of pewter now and again.

The stuff that I run across is usually little figurines, some get sold on ebay and whatnot, but some are too badly deformed to waste time on.

It's never a lot, usually a few ounces, maybe a pound.

What can I do with it? I haven't started casting boolits yet, but I do cast fishing weights and slabs.

It is about 92% tin, so you'll want to save it for boolit alloy.
It will help fill out the mold better and harden the alloy a bit.

You can always sell it off if you end up not needing it.

But its about ten times the value of lead per pound so don't shoot or fish with it pure. Use it sparingly to improve your alloy or sell / trade it for equal value in lead.

I just consider it Sn and alloy for what I need. Great stuff. I use it all the time.. enjoy Mike
