Got the word 2 days ago that my life will be changing in 9 months. 44 years old and this is the first one. Not that we haven't been talking about it and were gonna have one but I was wanting to wait a few months until we get moved and I get started in my new job. This is gonna be interesting.

Congradulations!!! It is a scary time, having a kid. The way I look at it is this is our chance to be the men we always wanted to be or should have been. To put aside the mistakes of our fathers and be better men. My kids are my second chance at life. If you look at it like that, even the bad days will be a blessing. Congrats to you and your wife. I always liked laying next to my wife and talking to her belly. That was one of my favorite things to do. And it made her laugh.

Yes, indeed, at your age time goes by way faster than you think. Actually, the brain's inertia gets heavier and heavier making "learning" more and more difficult giving the illusion that time is not passing. ... felix

I'm 44 and the thought of having one at my age scares the poo out of me. But then I have 8 of them and 7 grandkids.

Beau Cassidy, there is nothing to compare to being a parent.

Every now and then the wife gets the idea she might want another one, we do not have any together, I'd be ok with it. I've had kids in the house since I was 19 years old and I can't imagine not having any at home. Youngest is 10 so I have a while before I have to worry about it.

when i am 44 my youngest will be 18 , some people put 40 years before kids some 40 after some have 40 years of kids , what ever works for you

but they do grow up very fast , it seems like they were just born. now i can count the years till driving with less than 1 hand , that's scary
