What can anyone tell me about the Ruger Bisley model blackhawk single actions ?. A buddy has one in 357 mag , typical engraved cylinder. Years of production and likely value ?. I personally don't think it's anything special as blackhawks in genreal are common , but I know nothing about the bisley models they made.

Click into the revolver section and then look under the New Model Blackhawk 357 Mag which includes the Bisley models etc. As for value head on over to Gun Broker to see what used Bisley's are selling for (those that are actually being bid on). My guess around $350 to $400 in very good condition is a decent deal.

The Bisleys are still being made, and are not particularly rare.

.357 version usually brings less than .41, .44, or .45 - or .22 or .32 for that matter.

I bought my Super Blackhawk .44 mag for $400 and that included some ammo. My LGS has a Bisley in .45 LC with a $450 pricetag. I'd imagine the .357 is worth $400 or less.

My Bisley Black Hawk in .44 Special was $470 new. I got it about 2 years ago. It took my gun supplier about an hour to find one. :holysheep

I saw a stainless Bisley in .44mag recently on a gun site for $550, but they were $645 at Bud's Gun Shop. I've considered buying it... Not sure if it's a good price after reading this thread though... Have they gone up that much in a year?

Mine is blued the stainless ones are a little more. however I think Bud is bumping the price a little. Maybe he'll take less if you negotiate.

Who? Bud's Gun Shop or the guy that had one listed on one of the gun web sites?

Ok, I'm a Ruger nut. To give you an idea of when it was made, we'd need the serial number, or at least part of it. (Example; 32-123XX)
Next is the fact that certain variations of the Bisley are a bit rarer & therefore more desirable than others. Is it blued or stainless? Barrel length?
The 357 isn't as common as others, and oftentimes a bit more sought after.
Yes, the Blackhawk is a lot more common, but the Bisley's not as much.
Lastly, condition, condition, condition means a lot.

You can go to www.rugerforum.com & ask your questions, but supply more info for a better value.
PS; I'd buy it for $400 in average condition, no matter the barrel length or finish.
