I have read several stickies about shooting GC bullets without GC's. My question is, will The lube on the GC base kill the powder charge if the ammo is stored for a long time?
I like to load several thou of a caliber when I start a run, so some of the ammo may be stored for several months. Here in N. Texas it gets HOT in the summer and I am worried about lube at the base of the bullet, where the GC would normally be, killing the powder charge. Anyone have any experience with this? Am I worrying needlessly? Or is it a real problem? If there is a risk of contaminating the powder charge, I will just go ahead and GC all these bullets! Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
