I used RCBS 80008 pistol lube that came with the LAM2 and got no leading. But it is sticky and has too low of a melt point for Texas.

Switched to BAC and got leading. What's the problem? Should I use a softer lube? It's for 32-40 bullets, gas checked, at 1400-1700 fps.

There are other lubes. Personaly I like the tacky ones.

I have used Carnauba Red with great success. I have not had any leading problems in magnum handgun loads up to 1650 fps. I put a heater on lube/sizer (homemade) and am now using Lar's Commercial Grade 160 with good results. Both Carnauba Red and the CG 160 stay in the grooves well and are not tacky. Boolits wont stick together in storage and are easy and clean to handle. Yes, even in the Texas heat! PM or enail Lars and he will send you samples.

If you are getting Leading with BAC I would have to say to make sure the Boolit fit is correct. .001-.002 overbore.

I am in San Antonio TEXAS and used BAC in my .358 Winchester with no real leading pushing around 1800 FPS.

I also use BAC in 44 and 41 mag. and no leading up to 1400 fps. I have also used it in my 45/70 up to 1800 fps and no leading. I suspect you have a boolit fit problem more then you have a lube problem. You may also want to try White Label 2500 if you want a harder lube then BAC.

I believe I misidentified leading. Oops.

Glen has other lubes that are better suited for your use, Carnauba Red, 2500 would be better suited as BAC is meant for hand gun type of velocity.
