This is from some linked ammo. I'm just curious why it has a double shoulder. What is it? Sorry for the crappy pic.

By the looks of things I would have to go with AK.

Can you post a better Pic?

Exactly -- for the looks of it, an .308 blank used in the M60 machinegun ...

Most likely a 7.62x51 blank for the M-60.

7.62 NATO/.308 blank, used by the military. Shot millions of 'em.

the second 'shoulder' is to simulate the bullet and allow the round to feed reliably through the machine guns. M60 for the ones that are around but it's pretty much all M240b nowadays.

Yup, that's what it be(a blank). It just appears to have a double shoulder because it is longer and has no bullet to guide it into the chamber.

Shush!

Its our newest secret bullet currently being tested in extensive combat operations in Afghanistan...We are calling it the 4.4TBx51...We load three steel coated BBs into the long neck so we can deliver 3 bullets on the target with every trigger pull...

Maximum effective range, 25m since we fight in urban operations only now...

The extra length lets it feed properly. The stuff I worked with was belted up for
the M60, looks just like that. Nose is .250 in dia.

7.62 blank for the -60; fired my share of them, too.
