I have a friend who is interested in selling an older (early 50s) 94 in 32 Win Sp. The carbine looks almost new at least 95%+. What are the prices for these running now. If they are not to high I am going to buy it before he takes it to the next gun show. Thanks for the help.

LimpingJ, I saw one about that vintage, good shape, in a shop in Tulsa last year. They were real proud of it for about 6 hunert. Way over priced, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually paid that. Private sale - between friends? Maybe 300 or 350.

Local gun shop has a 94 rifle in 30-30 for $1500.00. Exterior barrel is pitted, stock is loose and probably doesn't have enough wood to tighten. Gun is on consignment. Shop owner's comment was that it will probably come down after it sits there for awhile. Have seen very nice looking carbines in 32 WS for around $500.00 at gun shows.

I sold one 4 years ago thru auction arms for $375 with a set of dies and 76 pcs of brass. It was about 96% and I have regretted it ever since. I hate selling weapons. I just never thought I would be interested in shooting sillywets in loaded down big bore leverguns. Silly me. I just loved the way that carbine handled and felt in my hands...like it was supposed to be there. Now I have aquired a pair of Ruger BH's. One in 38/357/9MM and another in .45LC/.45ACP I coulda gone onto Cowboy action shooting as "Dirty Dan"? The only two guns I have not regretted were a Beratta .25 Auto and a hi-point 9MM. The .25 seems to a useless calibre and the 9MM was BUTT UGHLY! I Was ashamed to be seen with it my hand. However it was totally reiliable and accurate as dickens.

As Sundog has said between friends $300-350 is a fair price.
I just got a 1910 with 26 inch barrel for $300 at a local gun shop. It has been reblued, very well done I might add and the wood looks like it has had some work done to it or replaced along the way. It is in the shop right now gettting a new spring for the hammer.
Now if I were to sell it $2000 might get me to think about it but I am getting back into levers and have seven right now so don't think in this life I will sell, they are just to much fun to shoot, work up loads for, and did I say shoooooooooooooot

My first '94 was a 1927 octogon barreled .25-35 I bought locally for $100 in 1970. In 1975 I went to my first gun show and got a 1910 .32 Special, octogon, for $135. in 76 I found a 1899 .38-55 in round barrel, $160, got a 1925 .30-30 octogon in 77, $200, and a 1917 .32-40 octogon in 79 for $250. In l999 we sold the house and went full time RV and sold the collection for $600 each. Sold the RV and bought a house in 2002 and bought the same rifles back for $650 each. Sold them in 2005 for $850 each. Haven't seen a nice rifle like those for under $1000 this last year. The .25-35 went to the grandson of the man I bought it from. He has killed three white tail bucks and a coyote with it.
