Couple days ago I shot my very first handgun, the first one I purchased. In '68 I bought a used Ruger Single Six with both cylinders for $40.00. I shot it fairly well and had a ball. My best groups were about 3/4"-1" at 20 yards with some Blazer 40 gr. solids that I ran through a Paco Kelly's Acu'rzr tool. With regular mix of 22 lr, HP, Hi Velocity, sub sonic, target, and el cheapo bulk I was shooting mebbe 8" at 35 yards, not good but still a lot of fun. Man, I like my old Single Six...

I've found thr Acu'rzr tool improves accuracy more in some ammos than others. Federal Premium ammo went from 1"-1 1/2" groups at 25 yds. to 3/4" average in my 6" Mark II. Blazer .22 solids wound up being the best at most groups slightly less than 3/4". Most others ran 1" to 2" at same distance. BTW CCI Green Tag and PMC Targer ammo generally shoot 3/4"-1". I'm not a great shot and these are the best groups. Some days I think a Buffalo would be safe from my shooting at 10 paces...

Of course these are shot through my Ruger MkII, and I've tested every .22 ammo I could find to see what it likes best. Your gun will prolly be different.
