So I am trying to speed up the loading on my LNL AP, best option I have seen is a case feeder. I am looking at making a tube based one myself since

1. I do not want to spend the 300+ on the one from Hornady since I do not do the volume to justify it.

2. Without drilling through walls I cannot get power to where my press is.

I have done many searches on many sites but have not seen one that has any sort of plans with it on how to build it. Since I am just not that mechanically inclined. What suggestions do you all have.

Thanks

Rich

I made one for an SD once it was concluded on another forum that it couldn't be done.

On the LNL I would mount it to the platform and use a wire guide as the hornady feeder does.

A collator is a bit more work but if you can pull off the case feed, I bet you can make one that works.

You are an evil genius jmorris. So it could not be done, right? Some of your other work inspired me to build my own accessories. Any more pics of your feeder? Just received my first SDB. First blue machine, but I'm sure my LnL AP's won't feel put out.

Edit: Found your other pics. Hmm, was wondering what project to do next...

The case feeder is 1" box tube and plastic cut to a U shape to guide the case.

Just got a LnL myself and thinking about making up a case feeder myself. I wouldn't be against using a lee collator tube deal to feed them but I have to come up with the pusher and dropper part.

Did you have any luck?

For me at least, that is the hard part. I tried to buy them from Hornady but no dice.

i built this one. i started with a projector. i updated the sub plate to ezject. that was the first hurdle. the making of the case feeder was easy compared to that. it was a lot of work but i only paid 75 dollars for the press so the 30 dollar sub plate was worth a try. if i would not have had access to a mill i would not have bothered. i can take more pictures if you like. this is my 38 wadcutter press. its all i load with it so the case feeder did not have to be adaptable. it does have a nylon slide on top and could be adjusted for 357 if i want.

how about duplicating the setup and giving it to us? :)

(thats a hell of a deal on the press!)
