Well got a wild hair up the backside and have decided to restock both of my 1886 Browning SRC's. Wright's gun stocks is providing the wood and Macon Gun Stocks is going to do all the work on it. Have had great luck with the folks at Macon.

Mr. Doyal Wright the owner of Wrights gun stock will be shutting down his gun stock buisness and retire. Everything that he has is on sale and the pricing is excellant to say the least.

They may go up for sale so that I might recoop some of my initial outlay.
One is in excellant condition and the other is in good++.
Neither have gouges or chips, cracks etc. Just scratches in the gloss finish.

If you want shoot me a PM with an e-mail address and I will send pictures.

the short rifles stocks crescents are not as deeply cut as the rifle stocks.
i have the full rifle and i have just gotten used to shooting the full crescent from it and my 92's.
but have forgotten a time or two and mounted them wrong and wished i hadn't.

They tend to punish you more than I care.
Really do like the shotgun style butts.

Duke, just remember, although Barbie could certainly handle the weight of a round barreled '86 SRC in 45-70. As they get lighter in weight they start delivering more punishment to the shoulder. Ms. Barbie is way to pretty to be sportin a Technicolor shoulder.

She shoots used to shoot 485's grainers in her 16 inch barrel Marlin Guide but of course it had a niche recoil pad. She's going to go with the SAECO 300 grainers which we have a plethora of.
