Can the Lyman heating unit be used in tandem with the RCBS Lube-A-Matic?
If yes, how is it attached?

They have a series of patterns that will line up on the RCBS LAM. I have a Lyman heater on each of my LAM's. You just run a bolt up through the plate from the back side, bolt the LAM to the plate and then there are four holes in the plates corners for fastening to your bench or you can c-clamp it if you don't want to drill or screw it to your bench.

if ( and that's a big word ) you're referring to the newer style cartridge heater for the lyman model #4500 the simple answer is no they cant , but ..if you're referring to the "plate" type heater then the above from fishnbob applies

this is the one you can use

http://www.lymanproducts.com/lyman/bullet-casting/universal-lube-heater.php

the one on this page is the one you can not use ( at least as it comes )

http://www.lymanproducts.com/lyman/bullet-casting/4500-lube-sizer.php

however ... the latter link can be used in conjunction with a aluminum base plate you fashion by drilling a 3/8" hole into and then attaching the sizer to it

Thanks, that's very helpful and clear.
I appreciate it.

Thanks fryboy, I plumb forgot about the cartridge style heater. Never crossed my mind. Two heads are better than one, even if one's a cabbage head, as my pappy said.
