One and All,
I just put a band new 1943 two groove barrel on my 03-A3 cause the lead in the old barrel was about 3" long. Now I need a reamer to finish the job. Does any one out there have one to lend or rent? I suppose go and no go gauges would be nice too. Thanks, njmj

How do you know you need a reamer to finish the job, if you have not already checked the headspace with a set of guages? Some of this military barrels don't require reaming, while some do.

www.reamerrentals.com

they cost pretty low and they ship fast. headspace gauges are only $5 additional on the rent of the reamer.

Charger,
Not having any gauges I tried some military ball to see if the bolt would close. It won't. Every other 06 I have gobbles this stuff up. njmj

NEW M03 and A3 barrels are short chambered. If you get a "new" GI barrel that chambers a round, it ain't a NEW barrel. I've fit probably fifty or more of these barrels. Still have six or eight in a case, still in the wrap and cosmoline.

Cheers,

Phil
