I recently acquired a bunch of various 45 cal cast bullets. A lot of various Buffalo Arms and home cast Postells, Creedmore etc in 458-459 around 500gr weights and a couple of boxes of paper patch bullets
I have a H&R SB2 45-70 and a Pedersoli John Bodine 45-70 roller.
My intention would be to find out if there are articles or books that have more load data on smokeless loads than is available in most manuals and maybe some pressure figures
I have been using IMR 3031 with pretty good results on lighter 350 gr bullets and would like to try with the heavier ones

I can't vouch for any of the lightweight boolit loads, but I had great results today with 37gr of Varget behind a 530 Postell. No fouling, little recoil (but it's a heavy Sharps) and five holes in a fairly tight group (1 1/2" @100yds) given the brutal wind and cold.

lyman, rcbs, accurate all have cast data in them, lee has some too.
22-24 grs of 2400 with a tuft of dacron is a favorite for 375-450 gr boolits.
