I have some issues with pan lubing my 45 Colt boolits so i use LLA to lube my classic design not TL bollits.I didn't tumble lube boolits ,trying to avoid mess so i Manuel fill the grooves by dipping the bolits in the warmer LLA.
My last try with tumble lube boolits and LLA in 9 mm didn't was so successful so after that this is first time i gonna try this.
Anybody try these before,is there gonna work?
I reloading for Taurus Judge and not gonna push this boolit more than 700 FPS..

Any suggestion is welcome..

Two front bullets on the left might need another "dip" but the rest look good and should work fine.

I have that same profile, and have shot a bunch through my Ubertis. I don't push them very hard either, but I just tumble lube mine in 45-45-10.

I don't see any issue with what you have there.

You are doing the right thing and keeping velocities low. Should be just DANDY, IMHO!! Nice lookin' batch of boolits there, friend!

that's the ranch dog method.
he dips them in thick alox and lets them dry then recycles the run off back into the mix.

I don't know why you would need so much LLA. All I do, up to full-house .44 Magnum, is a light tumble lube.
No body can tell you what will work--you need to try.
Again, just to add my 2 cents. I gave up sizing 30 years ago and never found a need after that. I shoot as-cast and tumble lube in all my handguns. Last time I used a lubri-sizer was to place gas checks on my tumble lubed 7mm bullets for my 7mm TCU for local silhouette shooting.

I recently bought that same mold. I decided to go to a plain based bullet in my .45 Long Colt as I only push them to about 950 fps. Have had real good luck with SPG lube. I've tried using LLA and it works well but when melting down old bullets that had been lubed with LLA it makes for a messy pot & smelly loading area.
Recently made my own lube using 1 1/2 lbs. Beeswax, 1 lb. Vaseline, 1 1/2 oz. carnuba flakes & 1 1/2 oz. Ivory soap & 2 purple crayons. Works extremely well! No leading & very low smoke. I use silicone baking pans for pan lubing. The cake pops right out with ease.
By the way, good choice on the bullet. I found that that bullet shoots very well. I size to throat diameter of .454. I am in luck as my mold drops at .455 with Lyman #2. LEE always gives enough room for sizing. I like that.

I really believe in some lube all over a boolit like felix. I make a big mess.
But I never came to terms with Alox. It is a rust proofer, what was the German stuff where they drilled all over and sprayed? Every car I had it done to rotted out as fast as nothing under the car. It was Alox or a form of it.
How anyone ever used it for a boolit lube is a mystery. :veryconfu

Balta,
You can use that lube for pan lubing or simply melt it & pour it into your lubersizer. I've used it in my .45 Colt & my 7.62x54R Mosin Nagant with no leading.

I have very good luck with 50% xlox and 50% jpw on low pressure .45 colt loads. I'm too lazy to pan lube a quick shack in a tub with a little lube pour out let dry and load.

Johnson's Paste Wax. It is a paste wax for wooden furnature or wooden floors. You probably have something like it where you live.

I have been looking for the silicone baking pans in almost every store I go into and can not find them anymore. Were they taken off the market for some reason? If they were ,I suspect it has something to do with the silicone and the heat for the oven effecting to food.

Well I just did a Yahoo search for silicone bakeware and it seems it available almost anywhere. I guess I have to keep looking.
