Where are you selling you zinc weights and what are you getting for them?

Shadygrady will trade you an even swap for WW's. I sent him 25 pounds of clip on and stick on zinc WW's and he sent me 25 pounds of lead already smelted and ready to cast. He makes cannon balls with the zinc. He's good people.

I sort them out and sell them to the scrap yard at 25 cents a pound. They pay the same whether they are lead or zinc, so I buy mine at 25 and sell the sorted zincs for 25. The steel ones go for 7-10 cents a pound.

Seems a waste sell them for scrap steel. Are the zinc weights made from zamac?

Zinc WW's are made of Zinc. Pure as near as I could tell.

I don't have many right now but I emailed him and got no response. What's the reason for zinc cannon balls vs lead?

The zinc cannon balls are a LOT harder. If found, you can fire the zinc ones multiple times. Plus, why waste lead?? I think it's a great way to get rid of zinc.
