A while back there was a post about making a 45acp rifle in kit form.
You bought a kit and fitted it to your action.
They did not make one for a small ring mauser.

Anyway the idea has stuck in the back of my mind to build one.

Does anyone make a 45ACP barrel about 20 inches long?
I have a 88 commission rifle action and complete bolt that just beg to be made up into something like that. Low pressure, bolt action. Sounds great but no barrel I can find.

Any ideas?

have you checked out Mcgowen?
http://www.mcgowenbarrel.com/catalog1.htm
Scroll down until you find the 45 pistol barrels.
The note says:
45 Pistol Caliber Rifle/Pistol Barrels
Price $165.00
Available in various contours up to 30" finished length. This price is for an uncontoured (not turned) blank. (please note that anything over 26" finished length adds an additional charge)
Does that help?
I have not used Mcgowen yet, but I hear very good things from some of my associates.

numrich should have some barrel blanks in 45. if you don't have diameter enough, you can drill out the original barrel stub and use it fir a bushing

If you could get by with a shorter barrel, this one will save you some money, http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/barrelblanksround/175-round-rifle-barrel-blanks/45-acp-heavy-raw-blank,-175-x-125-4140,-116
I can thread and chamber it for $120.
