It is 3/4" box tube that makes up a 5" truss making it quite strong an still light enough I won't mess up the wood floor. The adjustable padded feet also help out.

Couldn't fit all of the most used equipment on at one time so there is a bottom shelf to hold them and an air compressor a friend gave me. It came out of a dentist office so it puts out quite a bit of air and is super quite.

Still needs finish work and paint but you can get the concept.

That is one nice bench, and alot of nice gear to go along with it. Is that a case pro 100 underneath?

Wow. I just built/modified a Harbor Freight 60" bench for my reloading. It feels inadequate now lol.

Mr. Morris,

You should be ashamed for making the rest of us feel bad! How do you expect us to sleep now, dreaming of making our own?

That "shall not covet thy neighbor's. . ." rule surely can't apply to this.

Seriously, what a brilliant design. Does it even flex out in the middle of the truss where the 550 and left 650 are mounted? Looks like it should be rock solid everywhere. I was eyeballing what looks like a CasePro as well. Nice.

I covet the space available in the building......If only I had a shed in the back yard of about 14' x 24' with insulated walls and ceiling.........

Vent fans in the gables......air conditioner thru a wall.......portable electric or woodstove for heating.......decent space and I would go to town.....

All I need is about 9k for the shed and another 2k for improvements etc....lifetime project ahead.....

Thanks guys. Yes, that's a case pro under the table. A friend has the one I automated and that one is waiting on a motor.

I'm envious oF the room you have available for it. Will it stay there or be moved somewhere else??
It should be in the reloading equivalent of the Louvre Museum.

I built it out back, it's now in my reloading room inside. Although a little more difficult to get a decent photo of it in the house.

The paint is hammertone brown and matches the floor better than it looks like in this photo.

For the electrical I put a quad box at each press and the duplex box is split one outlet for the air compressor and the other for the primer filler. The switch on the left controls the compressor the one on the right kills the power to everything else.

Judging by the number of presses I assume the 1050 is dedicated to one caliber, and purely out of curiosity, what caliber might that be? I'm just curious what you are shooting so much of?

Also, as a big fan of turrets, I'm glad to see one on there amongst all those fancy progressives.

Hah, so true, not one of us saves a dime. We just redistribute the money into more guns, more projects, or more shooting.

I run 9mm and 223 on the 1050. I guess I should say it runs 9mm and 223 for me, it's auto driven and computer controlled.

This is a video of how it works.

That is absolutely stunning. I mean, I am dumbfounded.

Would I be incorrect in thinking you compete in 3-gun comps?

Nocturnal Stumblebutt
12-31-2012, 04:32 PM
Also, how do you do it with .223? When/how do you lube your cases? And do you clean the case lube off completed rounds?

jmorris
12-31-2012, 05:35 PM
Yes, 3-gun, uspsa and idpa.

With 223 it takes two passes. You have to size and trim with one tool head then load with another. Lube before sizing and post load tumble to knock the lube off. I did use a 650 for the first pass.

http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o213/jmorrismetal/trimmer.jpg

Now I actually get my brass for free already prepped, the rifle brass comes from a friend of mine that has the wet tumbler and annealer that I built and all of my pistol brass comes from a friend that owns theshooterssource.com and uses my brass sorter to sort the brass he sells.
