We have had a couple of threads on inexpensive gun oils/lubes that work well. Is there anyone out there that uses the expensive, high end gun oils/lubes, that come in really small bottles or tubes? If so, why and why are they better than the homemade varity?

I have not to date, but would seriously entertain using those chemicals that expand immediately after application. Not better, but much easier to use. Would not require a ramrod, for example. ... felix

I do have one gun (my concealed carry compact 1911) I'm using froglube on. Seems to work very well as a lube and rust preventive.

Hard to beat Mobil 1 synthetic, put it in a small bottle and no one will ever know. You will have a lifetime of excellent lubricant for all your guns and only $6.!
