Anyone taken a deer with Mihec #68 HP?

Has anyone shot a whitetail with their 45acp and a cast HP?
What kind of load?

Have thought aout it. I can get close enough, just need to decide it is what I need to do.

So many guns and bullets, so few deer.

I don't see why that boolit in the .45acp wouldn't get the job done. Large caliber, decent velocity, proven accuracy, recipe for success. I never really considered hunting with my 1911 because I have some very nice revolvers for that duty. Still, I'd like to take the 1911 pig hunting because I know it will get the job done and be fun as well. Frank

I have taken one with Jword, but am going to try to use one of my Mihec 200gr. RNHP this fall if possible - cast at 9 BHN and loaded to 900 fps.
