Gents - Has anyone received one of the new 432-200 RF moulds and done any work with it in a 44 Spl? I realize it was designed for the 44-40, but I'm on the lookout for a lighter 44 cal mould for my new 44 Spl. I have a few of the heavier moulds in the 240-250 range, but I'm seeking a mould that would be suitable for modest velocity target loads, the fact that it's a PB version mould is a bonus. Not trying to go high speed or make a magnum out of it. I've read some threads about the Lyman 429215 and obvioulsy that's a well suited all around mould for this caliber. Really would like some feedback on a mould that would "fill my needs". Thanks Bill in MA

Bill: another option for a light .44 mould is from Magma. This mould is designed for teh .44 special and drops at .432+ with WW material.

It is Magma mould # .44-190 SWC PB, and is a plain base boolit.

The one on the left is the .44 cal boolit.

The one on the right is the .41 cal version of the same boolit .41-190SWC

I bet the NOE 432-200RF would work great for your 44 special. Also on the NOE web site there is a 44 wad cutter that looks interesting.
You might also look at the Lee 429-200 Rf in a 6 cav. mold. It works good in my 44 mag marlin.Good luck in your search ...................Terry

I use 5.2 gr Bullseye under the Lee 44-200-RF in 44 SPL. Runs right 815 fps out of my 4" revolver with very good accuracy and is very pleasant to shoot.

Gents - Thanks for the info - I did see that Lee made almost the same mould after my initial post. My only/ major concern for both the NOE and Lee mould was the cast diameter is suitable for use in the 44 Spl and as you guys are getting good results it appears that it's a pefect fit for my needs - Thanks to all that responded - Bill in MA

Another +1 for the Lee 429-200RF in the .44 Special.
