This is one of my guns. It just screams for new grips if I ever get caught up ;)

Dad always said that the best mechanics he worked with had the worst cars because they were always fixing some one else's car and never had time for their own. It must apply to custom grip makers too.

You make some nice grips...gotta send you a grip frame and some yankee dollars.

A carpenters house is never finished.

As a suggestion, That looks like a great mate for some Birdseye, burl, or quilted Maple. But it is your gun this time.

Actually they are the factory grips. Referred to as rubber but seem almost as hard as plastic to me. Don't really care for mine either but folks seem to like 'em - maybe just because they are "authentic".

That's funnier that you think. Grip making is my hobby .

The only thing that would make your sign worst is if it said "JOE SWINDLER". You must have a very good reputation in your town to get buisness with that sign.

I do like the way you think. Maybe something like this? I have been waiting to use it for something

Perfect!

That would be the quilted maple I was thinking of. Awesome.

Please send me some pics when it's done.

Looks like a double bogie with that cliche! Even a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile. Still want to send you a grip frame and yankee dollars, but finances are tough right now. I have a rough pair of brass DRAGOON grip frames on 44 mag VAQUEROS that need cleaning up and some nice grips.
