I have 200lbs of pure lead , 10 lbs of Linotype ,50 lbs WW and a half bag of chilled shot. Using what I have I'm looking for a mix to use for gas check bullets in large bore revolvers and rifles 45/70 lever gun . So far I have been using pure WW with great success . Thing is my WW stash is getting low and I have these other goodies begging to be used. So is there one combo of these metals that I can use with the same success as straight WW? Thanks in advance!

mix the lino, shot,ww's and 75 lbs of the pure together.
this will give you a good nuff alloy you won't notice the difference between it and regular ww alloy.
a lb [1] of tin wouldn't hurt the mix none.
it should be right near 10-11 bhn.
if you want it harder waterdrop it from the mold that will get you near 18-20 bhn.
but will retain the malleability you need for hunting use.

The mix above would give you an alloy around 0.4% tin, 2% antimony, without the extra 1 lb of tin.
You should check out my alloy calculator (link below) - this is exactly the situation it was made for.

It is an excel file that is zipped up (compressed). Winzip or winrar will unzip it.
Or is there an error downloading the file itself? Maybe you could try it on a desktop and then transfer the file over. I can email it to you if all else fails.

bumpo's numbers are right close to what i come up with off the top of my head.
and the bhn numbers should be super close too.
the extra tin will give you about 1% tin and a good ballanced alloy.
