I thought it would be cool to have a list of equipment for reloading and casting tools from makers other than the "big names" i.e. RCBS, Hornady, Redding et al. For instance, are there other press makers along the lines of CH4D? Conversion kits and the like would be cool too, as well as casting equipment.

I am specifically interested in other choices for progressive presses if there are any.

Also, I can not locate any videos describing and using the RCBS piggyback system on YouTube. If anyone knows of a video or would be willing to make one that would be awesome! I wish all the manufacturers would put together comprehensive setup videos like the ones from Hornady. It seems like an obvious thing to do...unbox and setup your products on video.

I've seen some pretty awesome alternative presses on threads around here but for one reason or another they just weren't enduring commercial successes. Some appear to have fallen victim to high production costs or lack of production capability. It's possible some could benefit from CAD/CAM advances and be successful today but I'm guessing we'll never know.
I got to the party a bit late (about 30 yrs ago) and seem to have missed the boat on some of the more interesting tools. Thank goodness some folks around here don't mind taking pics and sharing.
I like the modern mainstream stuff too, with my lack of mechanical aptitude and propensity for breaking stuff anything else would be problematic.

Most of the early progressive presses were made for commercial operations or Police Department use. They were very expensive for the time.
