Does anyone know if my mid 1990s vintage Colt HBAR has a 5.56 chamber or a .223 one?

My receiver is marked "Cal .223" but the barrel says "5.56 Nato 1/9 HBAR" on the top forward of the front sight.

Any Colt AR experts out there?

Mine reads CMP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR on the barrel and .223 on the receiver.

I purchased it in 1992-93....just before the Clinton Assault weapons ban.

Go with what is stamped on the barrel.

The MP is for magnipartical tested.
5.56 is the chamber on the barrel,
Colt marks the civilian lowers as .223 while they mark LE and Military guns 5.56 !
