I've never used very much SR - 4759.
I'd read that 21.5 grs. was a good load in an 06' with heavy weight .30 cal. cast bullets.
I had some nice looking NOE 311284 bullets with .301" noses on hand and decided to load a few with the above load.

I sized the NOE's .310 " , lubed with Ben's Red , used a Hornady g/c and fired them out of my Tikka , 30-06.

Looks like I'll be buying some more SR-4759 ! ! !

Any Chrono data on that one?

I think I will try that with the Ranch Dog 165 tomorrow

and maybe some 311440s also.

21.5 gr 4759 is the accuracy load for my 8X57 with the 175 grain GB mold also. 22.5 and the group is spread all over the target

thats a good standard load for the 30-06 for many of my old buddies.I beilve it was one of Frank Marshalls favorites.

Ben,

It'll work well in the 8x57 JS as well. (Assuming you own one by the looks of your avatar.)

Good shooting,

SR4759 is what I use in my 308win. It does wonderful.

Also makes great jbullet reduced loads in 308 and 270 for younger shooters to get started.

Something is wrong with the boolit or load.:kidding:

Outstanding.

I use that powder, clone powder, and 4227 in the Springfield and Krag.
314299 is my choice.
