I've got a couple of Pacific 007 presses and want to convert one of them to a LNL. How difficult would it be to increase the size to the 1 and 1/4" 12 thread? drill or hand tap?

A milling machine or lathe would be a minimum requirement for such a job as alignment of threaded hole with the ram is critical.

I don't either--but I've found that the combination of one of my local machine shops and a case of beer gets me some mighty fine work done on such projects.
One of the machinists there loves to shoot his Marlin 30-30 but the price of factory ammo is prohibitive and his son (9 years old) doesn't like the "big kick." One day I gave him 50 rounds of 30-30 that I'd loaded with 9.0 grains of Unique pushing some 170FN boolits.
His son LOVES shooting those rounds and so does the machinist. I had more 30-30 brass than I knew what to do with, enjoy casting anyway, with the light load I didn't bother gas-checking the boolits, and they hardly used any powder.
In return, I get some excellent machining done on some projects.
Always a way to make things happen.
