I have a Ruger American waiting for me at my favorite gun store. I have heard some comments about the stock being low compared to the aiming plane of most scopes. So a person cant get a comfortable cheek rest. With the stock being plastic what could I add to the height of the stock where my cheek should rest. So my eye is more in line with the scope.
I know my question mite be a non issue, If my rifle fits me. I would just like to be prepared if there is a problem.

Why is your rifle waiting at the gun store?

I think you could fix that problem with a set of low or med rings, or a lace on cheek pad. Or if you have "chubby cheeks" that tend to show up with age and pizza, its probably not an issue.
