Substitutes for 45 Schofield dies

Can I use 45 ACP dies to load Schofield cases?

Based on cartridge dimensions, it looks like this would work -- .45 ACP is effectively the same head diameter forward of the rim as .45 Schofield, aka .45 S&W, and shorter (so you can adjust the seating die to work). Lots of folks here will tell you crimping is overrated as a means of keeping boolits from jumping forward under recoil, that case tension is what matters -- but if you want to apply more than a taper crimp, a .45 Auto Rim roll crimp die should cover you; if you can't find one, you could also shorten a .45 Long Colt crimp die enough to work without too much difficulty.
