BobS load with light boolets????

I've had good results with 200gr bullet and 36.5gr of 4350(with filler).
I was wondering if anyone has tried using a 165gr with the slow powder?????

38gr H4350 in the 7.5x55 Swiss, which after being blown out in a K31 chamber has about the same capacity as a 30-06. I'd guess I got around 2200fps out of the 168gr Eagan MX3-30-AR. Pressure-wise a fairly mild load, got some soot on the necks. No doubt the charge could go up some for more velocity, but... Groups weren't great, around 1.75". The boolit's preferred speed is 2000fps. One might be better off with medium burners for the medium weight bullets, 4895, 4064. maybe even 4007SSC in order to get pressure up where the lighter bullets will work the Garand reliably.

I guess it would depend on the bullet you wished to use, what speed they like. I wouldn't wanna try shooting one of the Squibb bullets at 2200fps, but there's a large selection of others that might like that velocity.
