I picked these j words up an hour ago. I started loading them. After the first two I noticed a case bulge. I rechecked all the dimensions of bullet. All seems good.
bullet diameter is 0.3550
case diameter is 0.3760 at the top of case where the bulge is
case diameter is 0.3710 right below the bulge
here is a pic showing the bulge. Any Ideas?

I also wind up with cases like that with cast or jacketed pistol rounds, i always chalked it up to the sizer sizing the brass that tight, and the expander doing it's job. Should have good neck tension this way, but might get split necks faster.

This thread may get moved into a different section shortly.

it almost looks like a roll crimp on them.
maybe just a trick of the lighting.
but yeah, it's the sizer.
when you go to load cast and get leading you will know right where to start looking.

The 9mm is a tapered case...
the inner edge of the carbide sizing ring will be like a straight wall...
reduces top of case so much that the seated bullet will (re-)expand it to look like that...

When I shot 9mm's I just partly resized - a kinda neck size only... looked better... but I was still a poor shot :-)

I already did a full lenght resize on 750 rounds or so. I will know better next time.
