I have a Rem RB in 7mm. The sight screws for the barrel sight are in terrible condition.

They look close to 8X32 and .9 metric thread pitch.

Does anyone know the thread??

Thanks

Hiram,

I hate to say this, but I believe that you are going to have to buy the specific part from one of the used gun parts vendors. The reason I say that is the Rolling Blocks were built before the standardization of screw threads in the U.S. Which I think was sometime in the 1920's.

Or you could buy a lathe and make your own.:kidding:

Good luck,

+1 on Mk42.

I wanted a long bolt to make a 'trial pin' to fit a new buttstock (mounted with a single
bolt through it's length) for a Savage falling block. The threads were 5/16 but non-std
pitch, so I had to make it on the lathe.

All the threads (grip screws and bushings) on the 1911 are oddball - again - before
there were std threads. Old guns are usually whatever random thread the designer decided
to use - as long as you could set the pitch on the lathe - no sweat for production.

Best of luck, but lathe making a few screws isn't too hard.
