I do believe that ktw has covered the classics. Almost any one of them should work. Try around 14.5 gr of 4759 for a good plinking load.

I have the RCBS 150 grain "cowboy" bullet mould. It casts good and shoots good.

I'm at work (don't tell my Boss!) so I can't look at my 30-30 mold number, but it's a 173 gr. FP Lyman with a Gas Check. I really like that one in my old '94. I've dropped a couple of Deer with it. (And when I say dropped. I meant crumbled and dropped....no running at all) I had a 150 gr. but like the 173 much better

Since you didn't say what you wanted to do with it, I'll mention some that I use that haven't been listed. Lyman 3118 for plinking at fairly low velocities, Lee soup can (about same weight as previous but with gas check, and the Lee C309-150-F is good too. Regards, Woody

My all time favorite .30 cal mold is Lee's version of the lyman 311041. Lee calls it the 309-170F. I accidentally found a load for it. Mi .30-30 is an improved chamber. Made with an Ackley type reamer. I shot a 3 shot group of about 3/4 of an inch, center to center. I was just out blasting and NOT trying for a good group. I don't recommend my loads for anyone. My loads have worked in MY rifles. I use 33 grains of imr4895 and a standard cci large rifle primer. I'm now trying to load way down. I'm not using pistol powders yet but that may be next. I really like my bullet. I also load it in my .308 rifles.

Everyone mentioned all the rest except the soup-can Lee 113 gr. RF so thught I'd throw that in. 8 gr. Unique or 10 gr. BlueDot worked for me.

I recently discovered that the RCBS 30-150FN and 34g of H-4831, sparked by CCI 200, feeds well and shoots well outta my new/older Marlin 336. Velocity is 1750 fps. Nice load.

Lyman 31141 (nowadays known as 311041) is THE classic 30-30 bullet. Flat nose, so you can load it through the magazine without worrying about primer detonation. It weighs around 170gr, depending on your alloy, which is classic 30-30 bullet weight. It has a nice length inside the case (matching up with the length of the 30-30 case neck nicely), and it has a nice length of bullet nose sticking out of the case with a parallel-sided bore-riding section, as well as a tapered/rounded profile near the flat tip, again aiding feeding through the lever-action system.

311407 is a Loverin-style with a flat tip, so it is a favorite of mine too, but it does lead to the issue of lube rings exposed or bullet seated deeply. Neither are ideal for cleanliness and/or feeding.

311281 in my mind is more for a 308 or 30-06, with its LONG nose section and short lube groove/driving band section (for the shorter necks of the 308/30-06).

Some of the Lee, Saeco, and RCBS designs look good too, but I haven't tried those rifle moulds yet.
