Im getting a buddy into swaging. I need to find a point form die for .224. Needs to be the type that can be used on a reloading press. Anybody got one they are not using?

Nope. The point form die is:

1) The most important step in the process.
2) The most expensive part of the tool set.
3) The most difficult to make CORRECTLY

Good luck with trying to get someone to part with one.

Not to be rude but have to agree with Duke. I am sure there is one out there but not sure if anyone has an "extra" one laying around.

Good Luck

I Dont know IF BT would just make you a point form die. But you can buy them from Dr. Blackmon, RCE and Corbin .... RCE will not work with a reloading press.

The point form die has to be made to work with the previous step, core seating. If the core seat die isn't sized properly, you won't get a proper nose in the point form die.

What core seat die are you using, Ballard?

This one is a Corbin.

I've been trying to get hold of him.

Corbin will make you one, and that's a LOT more likely to work well with the rest of what you have.....
