hello all.
I am Salvo and I'm writing from southern Italy : Mrgreen:

the classic copper bullets are too expensive and I wanted to try to build them in house to save some money. : Mrgreen:

I did some research on the internet but I found not much material. only a small guide!

I put some pictures explaining the process.

regards : Bevande:

I just did a little research and it turns out this site!

http://nuke.sardiniashootingclub.it/Proiettili224daibossolical22LR/tabid/166/Default.aspx

Unfortunately, the site is written in Italian :)

I hope you have the patience to translate :)

But I would like to buy the coat of copper and fill it with Pb.

regards
Salvo

In early days, a technique was used.
They tinned copper wire, wrapped it around a mandrel of size, placed the wrap in the preheated mold, heated the mold and cast into the mold with the wire in place.
The paper jacket was more efficient, the swaged bullet was yet to come.
Good luck with your project. You will learn a lot.

Welcome to the site, Salvo! I have learned a tremendous amount from some of the good folks on this forum. Some of them I would actually consider to be "genius" in their creativity and problem-solving methods- I mean it.
Ciao!

The link is at the bottom of this page where it says "forum jump".

There is a small blue colored box with a black chevron inside it . Click on that blue box and you will be given the forums of this site . If I was more computer literate I might be able to make a link out of it , it is easy to find just as it is .
