So here I am sorting through a bucket of the nastiest WW's I have ever done. Much to my surprise, about halfway to the bottom, I start finding sprues and cast lead shot mixed in with the WW's. I can't recall where this bucket came from, but I couldn't believe I found lead that had already been smelted. At the bottom of the bucket I found a pair of the pliers that are used to remove WW's from tires. Two score in one bucket!

Anyone ever find something other than WW's that they were glad to have?

No, but I have found box cutter blades. I always wear heavy leather gloves to root through the mixture.

The last bucket i sorted had a few hundred round balls in it. All were white and crusty but melted just fine.

I've found broken sockets made by Snap On, Mac and Cornwell. I turned them into the roving tool trucks and received new sockets.

Wheel Weights, what's that? Here in Florida all the tire companies are RE-USING the old weights because buying new ones are too expensive. Guess it's time to start mining the mounds at the range, that is if you don't get shot in the process
