I found a box of Winchester factory loads in my cabinet, 158 gr LSWC, .38 Special Plus P with all of the exposed surface of the bullets looking like its turned to lead oxide. The box is not all that old, purchased less than 6 years ago. Should I safely disposes of the loads, or can they still be used? Thanks, Ed

that lead oxide is the bad stuff to get in contact with ! you must was hands directly after handeling . As far as the ammo i would wipe off the oxide and safely dispose of the wipe and shoot ammo as normal.

A twist or two in 0000 steel wool will make it like new ammo. The steel wool is toast so dispose and wash your hands.
