Found this in a box of old reloading stuff.
Looks like a shell holder for reloading shotgun shells.
Not threaded in the small end.

That looks likes a collet for holding a cutter like on a milling machine. Most are threaded inside the small end, some fit in a special holder.

That's the shell holder for a Lachmiller and RBCS Shotshell Recondittoner.

I assure you a shotshell will fit perfetly in the top.

abunaitoo, I saw a recent picture you posted of a Lachmiller / RCBS shotgun shell conditioner/re-sizer. The shotgun shell holder you are asking about here just drops into the bottom hole of that tool!
