I use nothing but steel RCBS/ Lyman and brass Group buys now. But looking at the LEE 6 Cavity and wonder what do I for a top punch if i size in the Lyman 4500?
I know lee sells a push threw sizer but how do they expect you to regular lube in the grooves? As the mould is not Micro? Or do they expect you to use that liquid alox they sell on standard bullets grooves

Unfortunately Lee has NEVER taken any interest in making a top punch for a single one of their bullets to allow the use of sizing and lubing in some else's lubesizer.

There is a chart somewhere ( someone else may be able to help here ) that shows the Lyman top punch #'s that fit Lee molds.

If it is the Lee 93 grain roundnose, a Lyman 226 punch will work as will a 291. Neither is perfect, but either will work.

Talk to The Perfessor - he will make a punch for anything you need.

I use the 93gr boolit with LLA with no problem at all, only I use t in my CZ52 at extreme speeds and no lead.

The Lee tumble lube boolits are designed to be loaded as cast. If they drop to the size you need they work great. If not, then you're probably better off with a regular groove mold.

Film lubes, to include LLA, work just fine on conventional lube groove designs. If you want to go with a conventional lube sizer, user theperfessor sells a very nice custom nose punch for Lyman, RCBS or SAECO presses.

Of course the real problem you're going to have is keeping those big 6 cavity blocks hot with those miniature boolits. ;)

It takes a lot of time to heat up my 6-cav 93 gr 1R 32-cal mold but once its hot it makes a ton of nice little boolits. I LLA them as cast, unsized, for my 32 cal pistols.
