I have a jug of 4759 and, dumb as i am,i can't find loads for a 150 grain boolit,for my 30-30 Savage-340. All i find is for a 170gr and or, Red dot,Unique and so on!
Can anyone give me a hand,on this?
Has anyone one here ever used Richard Lees formula,to find a powder charge, from his book?

I do know from both reading and experience that you can safely take a load for a heavier bullet, such as your 170gr, and use it for a lighter bullet such as the 150gr you're wanting to shoot, since using a lighter bullet will decrease pressure. You just have to make absolutely sure that you do not confuse this concept, as that would be very unsafe to you, your gun, and possibly anyone else within shrapnel range. As to the specific powder listed, I'm sorry but I have no advice there as I have never used it so can't speak there. Just be careful and work your load up slowly til you get where you want with it. Best of luck.

I have not used 4759 in my 30/30 CB's (I use 5744) but from my experience with 6mm and other calibers, I would guess 14-15 gr of 4759 will shoot quite well and give you an MV of about 1350 fps. You can work up from there

+1.

The use of a 1/2 gr dacron filler will enhance ignition consistency and thus accuracy also.
