Just trying to see what i should size boolits for 2 of my rifles

Slugged my 1894p tonight (ballard rifling) looks like it comes in just a hair under .430. If using the ranch dog 432-265RF should i size them with his .432 push through sizer and be ok?

now i slugged my 1895 GBL (ballard rifling) tonight and it appears to come in at .458" interested in eventually getting a RD mold for this one but also have a Noe 405 mold for it along with a lee 405HB and a rcbs mold which i forget what it is lol. anyways what would be the best to size for this rifle?

hoping to slug the .35rem and 30-30 here soon

I use all of the Ranch Dog molds that have been made for the 44 / 444 and the 45-70/450 .

The 44 cal molds are used in a number of 444's as well as a 44 MAG all Marlin of course and I typically size at .432" although I have a .433" die I sometimes use as well .

For the 45-70 bullets I size them in a .461" die although I think .460" should be fine also .

I don't use the Lee push thru style but see nothing wrong with them .

All the dies I mention were custom cut by Buffalo Arms and work in Lyman or RCBS lubrisizers .

If you want a Ranch Dog mould, order it SOONEST. I read yesterday he was shutting down his business.

Marlin's love fat boolits pushed fast. My 1895 loves them at least. 460

.432 should be fine.

Make a dummy round with an unsized boolit and see if it will chamber. If it chambers then lube in an oversized die and shoot away.

.432 works good in my 1973 1894
