whoohoo 1st pewter score ever!!!

Was at a charity yard sale today. I been looking for lead tin and anything useful for casting/reloading..today was a big day I scored a pewter vase and candle stick holders!!! 2 bucks. Might be a lb Max....its the only pewter I have seen in five years. I might have passed it up if not for the charity...I purchased some other good items also.

2 bucks a pound for 80% or better tin alloy isn't anything to be upset about. Congrats!

Nice score. Eyeball the candlesticks closely before melting, some are filled with other mat'l for added weight so they don't tip over.

The vase is a good size. Stick holders are short and fat hollow bases....
