just bought 100 of these they seem fine thought I'd pass it on. I thought it was a good price. They might have a little sharper edges but a trip through the shell polished with dirty brass fixed that.

Are you saying you tumbled them with your brass? I'm about to order some for my 625 JM.

The very best price on moon clips for the 625 are factory direct from Ranch Products (OEM manufacturer for S&W, Wilson and more). $35 per hundred delivered. Call them at 313-277-3118. They will put them in the mail with an invoice. When you receive them, you mail them back your personal check with the invoice. Good people, great product.

I have also bought from Ranch Products direct. You best call them by phone. Their web site was not really set up for retail sales (but they'll deal with you direct). Good outfit, good product.

I might mention one thing - .45 ACP cartridge cases vary a bit regarding diameter at extractor groove. Anyone's full moon clips will be looser or tighter depending on manufacturer of the case. If the full moon clips you have are too tight it's probably not the clip but the case that is at fault.

RIMZ carbon/polymer clips have become my new standard. The original Rimz clips were straight polymer and worked fine for range use but were less than perfect if dropped (the loaded rounds would "leave" the clip). The new Rimz clips, however, have solved that problem and still allow you to load and unload without tools. Dandy, Dandy, Dandy!!

I have a couple of 625's and they are my most shot revolvers.

You guys do your selves a favor and get a BMT Mooner. About 80 bucks and a real treat to use. By far the best moon clip loading/unloading tool I have ever used.

Is that the white plastic tool that you just turn the wheel and it puts the ammo in the clips?
Give us a link.

Here is the link to a video showing how they work with a "J" frame. It's the same with the "N" frame. The only problem I have with them is they seem rather expensive. However, when you balance that with their efficiency, then...

I have one of the "Deluxe Moon Clip Tools." While it isn't as fast as the BMT, those of us with multiple different moon clipped revolvers can swap over with a $5 arbor in lieu of another $80 device.

It also isn't all that much slower than the BMT which puts them in really fast... after you load it.
