I bought a Lyman for $100 and converted a LEE case trimmer to fit and saved $200

Have the RCBS one and it does pretty good, but there are better ways to do lots of cases. Looked over the Hornady one, didn't look as functional as the RCBS one..

I went for the Lyman as I had their motorised case trimmer and the prep centre came complete with all the tools, all I had to add was my RCBS flash hole deburrers which just screwed straight in.

It works well and I am very pleased with it.

+1 on the Lyman. Got mine from Mid South as they had the best deal at the time.

They make two, a small one and a BEAST!

I assume you are referring to the Beast that does eveything you can imagine?

I sure would like to see one other than a picure.

I have the Hornady case prep center and I think its great. Way more powerful than the RCBS one I used to have. Personally, I like the ergonomics of it as well. Holding the cse horizontally is much nicer on the wrists, than vertically, after a few hundred rounds.

I've also found the case trimming portion to be quite accurate, if care is taken to apply the same pressure to the lever every time. By really pressing down, you can take an extra 4 or 5 thou off the case.

Welcome to the forum Ahlsy.

And thanks for the great input. Can you post a pic?
