A neighbor of mine dropped off around 175 lbs. of 1/4" lead plate. It's dead soft, I can bend it slightly with my hands. The pieces are too big to go in either of my smelting pots so I'm going to drag it to a shop where I can put it in the ironworker and shear it into workable pieces.

That would be a great find. I would have a life time of muzzle loader balls from a supply of lead like that.
