.303 Swage Lead boolits??

Anyone Swaging Bullets in .314 diameter for the .303??? Lead only stuff, No jackets! I am interested in the process, a change from casting thats all!

One of the issues is lube. The best that you would be able to do is roll a file over the smooth sides of a swaged bullet, and use tumble lube, not a wonderful option for the 303.

Use an already cast boolit, size and lube it, then swage. You can make it any style or size you want and not worry about the lube grooves.

If one was to cast a 30 cal bullet and fill the lube grooves first then you can swage it to any diameter or shape you wish. The lube will still be there. You would have to keep the alloy soft though, say 10BNH or less to use in swage dies.
