Hey guys. I have a bunch of Remington .32 Auto 71 grain J-words I acquired before I started casting and am looking for a good load for them. I will be shooting them out of my Kel-Tec P32 and Bersa Thunder 32. Factory ammo velocity runs anywhere from 700-900 depending on what you buy. Published data for the .32 Auto is decidedly mild, probably due to the multitude of old and/or cheaply made guns in this caliber. I would like to see around 800 fps out of my Kel-Tec and 875 or so out of my Bersa. Any suggestions out there?

Try 2,5 grs. Unique or 2,8 grs. Herco. These are favourites in my PPK.

Thanks. I've read that Herco is a well kept secret when it comes to small cases.

I have used these loads also with the Lyman 313249. Herco as the most accurate, There is no chance for doubleloads. I always check my loading tray before bulletseating, with cases almost full, it is easy to spot a bad throw. It is also a little more room for error, than with the faster powders. My barrel is slugged to 309, and i size to 309, 311 would not chamber at all. Just now i am ready to test my new Mihec .32 auto mold. Boolits looks nice. Powders to test, would be, HP-38, Unique and of course Herco!

I've always found Unique gives wide velocity spreads unless you use a near max charge. That Herco sounds good. No one around here uses it so it is always in stock.

When testing the 313249, i used from 2,7 to 3,0 grs. Herco. Best accuracy came with 2,8 grs. That load gave 887 fps in my PPK, a mild load. I never shot the J- bullets over the chrono.
