New Mold (to me)

I bought a 358477 Lyman on the bay first of the week and it came in the mail this morning. Being an older and used mold I certainly didn't expect it to cast exceptional boolits. BOY was I wrong. This mold casts the best boolits I think I have ever done. It's supposed to cast @ 150gr, but with my mix it comes in at a consistant 155 plus or minus .2grains. The seam line is almost invisible. I cast for about an hour and got approx 200 boolits. This mold has a couple of letters after the 358477 which stump me; AM? Maybe someone did something to the mold which makes it drop heavy cause the other 358477 I have drops right on the money with this same mix. I AM PLEASED!!

This is great design. Run it over 4.5-5.0 gr of Unique in a .38 Spl or around 16 gr of
H110 in a .357 Mag and you will likely have some really good loads. Make sure you
size to cyl throat diam or +.001.

Sounds like you got a very good mold. The letters usually indicate which subcontractor
made the cherry that the mold was made with.
